29/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Studies Institute of the Free University of Brussels (Pole Jean Monnet) is organising a day of studies in Brussels on 15 November on "The Convention on the Future of the Union: an initial assessment", in collaboration with the European Policies Studies Group, the Royal Institute for International Affairs of London and the Centre for International Studies of Cambridge. Among the participants, we find Professor Dashwood of the Cambridge University, author of a draft constitutional treaty that the representative of the British government, Peter Hain, presented to the European Convention (see EUROPE of 17 October, p.4), Professor Telo and Professor Magnette, both of the Institute for European Studies of Brussels.
