29/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - Last week, in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted the report by Geneviève Fraisse (GUE/NGL, France) on the "importance and the dynamism of theatre and performing arts in an enlarged Europe". The Parliament mainly calls on Member States to bring European coherence to their cultural policy and to do everything to ensure a boom in theatre and the performing arts (see EUROPE of 19 October, p.17).
