EP calls on Commission to make progress in health and safety legislation and regrets that no multiannual SME health and safety programme has been launched yet

Brussels, 29/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Stephen Hughes (British Labour MEP) last week on the Commission Communication "Adapting to change in work and society: a new Community strategy on health and safety at work 2002-2006", the European Parliament called on the Commission to provide sufficient resources to stimulate health and safety measures and integrate gender mainstreaming into all its strategic guidelines.
