CVC and PAI may purchase Edison's stake in Provimi

Brussels, 29/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the go-ahead for the US CVC Group and the French PAI Group to purchase Edison's stake in France's Provimi, an animal feed manufacturer. CVC and PAI provide investment and management advice to investment funds and are already active in the animal feed sector through their control of certain companies. The Commission assessed the potential horizontal and vertical impact of the transaction but found only minor overlaps....
