Washington, Dublin, 09/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Speaking at the US-Ireland Business Summit in Washington on 6 September, the President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, called on the Irish government and civil society to come out in favour of a "Yes" vote in the second Irish referendum on the Nice Treaty, scheduled in theory for October, following the rejection of the treaty in the first Irish referendum in 2001.
