Copenhagen, 09/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - At the Copenhagen ECOFIN Council, the EU set out the EU's position to be argued by President of the Council, Thor Pedersen, at the AGM of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on 29 September. As part of the debate launched in 2001 on involving the private sector in restructuring Member States' debt, the ministers agreed that all EU Member States should incorporate a "collective action clause" in their international bonds.
