09/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption at first reading (codecision procedure) of the report by Salvador Jové Peres (GUE/NGL, Spain), the European Parliament last week approved, in, Strasbourg, the proposal aimed at extending until 2007 measures that the Member States have had to take since 1996 (which were simplified in October 2000) to improve the Community agricultural statistics.
