09/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Following the resignation of four FPÖ leaders (including Susanne Riess-Passer, Vice Chancellor, and Finance Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser), Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel has announced the earliest possible convening of elections (elections were to be held in October 2003). Ms Riess-Passer said that differences with the former FPÖ President, Joerg Haider, were undermining voter confidence in the party.
