Confirmation of Commission's decision that sate aid for Hijos de Andres Molina company is illegal

Luxembourg, 11/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of First Instance has confirmed the European Commission's decision that aid granted by Spain in the form of loans and guarantees for the agri-food company Hijos de Andres Molina is illegal. The company was in liquidation in 1999 when it had taken the European Commission to court, advancing a series of arguments, some of which were rejected by the Court of First Instance's Fifth Chamber chaired by Swedish judge Pernila Lindh.
