11/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Eduardo Zaplana, first Vice-President of the Committee of the Regions and President of the Committee Delegation at the Convention, has been appointed Minister for Labour and Social Affairs in the Spanish Government. It is foreseen that Eduardo Zaplana, President of the "Généralité de Valence", should take on the presidency of the Committee of the Regions in 2004, replacing the current president, Albert Bore, mid term.
