With the adoption of the Beysen report, the internal market committee leaves Member States the choice to authorise sales at a loss

Brussels, 11/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's legal affairs and internal market committee has adopted the report by Belgian Liberal Ward Beysen and brought around sixty amendments to the proposal of regulation on sales promotion. The report is to be examined at first reading during the September plenary session. After over two years of work within a group of experts, the European Commission had presented the proposal last November to lift the obstacles on sales promotions...
