14/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - At the opening of its plenary session in Strasbourg, the European Parliament respected a minute's silence in memory of the popular Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn. President Pat Cox, moreover, welcomed the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and hoped for the forthcoming adoption of a common EU policy towards Burma.
