ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

FIS - FRIENDS IVORY AND SIMES, subsidiary of British insurer FRIENDS PROVIDENT, is to buy up the asset management division of ROYAL AND SUN ALLIANCE for £240 million. This will double the total assets managed by FIS (making a total of some £70 bn) and send the company into the Top Ten British asset management companies.
