US consultants KPMG CONSULTING is to acquire ANDERSEN WORLD-WIDE's consultancy business which is in the process of collapsing following its implication in the ENRON scandal, for $284 million. The business incorporates 23 units in Europe, the US, Pacific Asia and Latin America, with a combined turnover of $1.4 bn in 2001. The deal will strengthen KPMG CONSULTING's consultancy business (which already has a $2.9 bn turnover).
