Several Member states taken to Court

Brussels, 14/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission decided to take certain Member states to Court for non-compliance with Community provisions relating to the environment. Italy and Portugal are being challenged for not complying with the directive on impact studies of certain public and private projects. Ireland and France will receive reasoned opinions for the same reason. France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Austria and Italy will be taken to court for...
