Juncker and Verhofstadt expect European Council to give real social impetus

Brussels, 14/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt and his Luxembourg counterpart, Jean-Claude Juncker, have written to José Maria Aznar to stress the importance of the social dimension of the Lisbon Process. They affirm that the European Council, to open on Friday in Barcelona, must, in parallel to its conclusions in economic areas, give fresh impetus in various social areas.
