Marco Pannella's act of civil disobedience

Brussels, 29/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - Marco Pannella, leader of the Radical party and MEP, carried out an act of "civil disobedience" on 28 January by turning up at Stockport police station (Manchester) in possession of cannabis and hashish. Marco Pannella, who wanted to express his solidarity with MEPs Chris Davies (Liberal Democrat) and Marco Cappato (Lista Bonino), who will be appearing before Stockport Magistrates Court on 29 January for having carried out similar actions.
