29/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The euro's rate of exchange depends on the implementation of economic reforms and the improved growth potential of the euro zone, states Otmar Issing from the European Central Bank (ECB) in an interview with the Spanish daily Expansion, on Tuesday. Mr Issing stressed, moreover, that ECB President Wim Duisenberg said that 2002 was not a good period for changing the institution's presidency. "So", Mr Issing says, "Wim Duisenberg will continue".
