The Italian group, BIPOP-CARIRE, has decided to come under BANCA DI ROMA. Both establishments have signed a letter of intent along these lines. After the move, which provides for both companies quoted on the stock market to be maintained, the new undertaking should give rise to the fourth largest banking group with total assets of EUR 165 billion, a network of 2,100 agencies and a total of 5 million clients.
