25/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The International Office of Epizooties (IOE) has given back the United Kingdom its status as region "exempt from foot-and-mouth" for international trade. This decision opens the way, following the lifting of measures decreed by the Standing Veterinary Committee (SVC) (see EUROPE of 17 January, p.16) to the resumption of pork and beef exports.
