25/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - Regarding the latest report by the Court of Auditors on the management of Structural Funds (Report 10/2001), the Council adopted brief conclusions in which it assures that Member States have made considerable progress over the past few years in improving the effectiveness of the financial control structures of the Structural Funds, and will ensure that the experience gained will help to improve controls for the current programming period 2000 to 2006.
