Brussels, 25/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has cleared a joint venture between the Danish company Meneta, a subsidiary of A.P. Moller, and the German company TDM, controlled by British HSBC Holdings. Called Meneta Advanced Shims Technology A/S (MAST), the company is specialised in the manufacture of anti-vibration systems for automobile disc brakes. MAST currently belongs solely to Meneta. The operation in question aims at the acquisition of a TDM participation in MAST in order to acquire joint control with Meneta. The Commission has cleared the operation considering that the company's market share will be relatively small, without significant impact on the competitive situation.
