06/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of a resolution on the earthquake of 23 June in Peru, the European Parliament calls on the Commission to study the possibility of adjusting Community aid to the true necessities, in so far as the magnitude of the damage is known. It insists that the actions of reconstruction and repair will help to improve the living conditions of the population, and more especially, the less advantaged sections of the population.
