Brussels, 06/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given its go-ahead to the acquisition by OM Group, an American company marketing speciality chemicals, of the chemicals and catalysts unit of Germany's Degussa Metals Catalysts Cerdec AG (dmc2). The Commission noted that the activities of the parties are complementary and felt that the operation would not entail a competition problem.
