Solana visits Middle East to examine how EU can help the region out of its crisis

Brussels, 02/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - A diplomatic overview to study the way the European Union can help to resolve the current crisis in the Middle East - such is the aim of the visit by Javier Solana, CFSP High Representative, to the region on 30 April and 1 May. The visit took Mr Solana to Israel, the Palestinian territories, to Egypt and to Jordan.
