Mrs Diamantopoulou grants additional time for thought to European social partners for negotiation on temporary work

Brussels, 06/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - In order to clarify the concrete positions of the European social partners over the issue of temporary work (see EUROPE of 24 March, p.8), Anna Diamantopoulou, met, on Friday in Brussels, their representatives Georges Jacobs (for the employers, UNICE) and Emilio Gabaglio (for the Trade Unions ETUC). The Commissioner indicated to them that the issue of temporary work is not very important in quantitative terms - as it only represents 1.5% of the total...
