ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

The German group RWE withdrew its take-over bid on the fourth largest Spanish electricity operator HIDROCANTABRICO after the recent higher bid by FERROATLANTICA allied to ENBW. The group did not comment over its decision, but it is probable that the price of EUR 26 was the maximum possible for RWE. See EI of 4 April.
