Informal Agriculture Council meeting to be devoted to foot-and-mouth and safety of the food chain

Brussels, 06/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The different links in the food chain and foot-and-mouth are the main themes that the Swedish Presidency has included on the agenda of the informal meeting of EU15 Agriculture Ministers, to be held from Sunday to Tuesday in Österdund (Sweden). The Special Agriculture Committee (SAC) will examine a proposal for simplification of the aid request procedures in favour of small farmers.
