The German-American manufacturer DAIMLERCHRYSLER is to sell 60% of its micro-electronic subsidiary TEMIC (870 million euro turnover in 1999 with a workforce of 5,300, 2,700 of whom employed in Germany) to the German automobile equipment manufacturer CONTINENTAL (10.11 bn turnover in 2000) for between 374 and 380 million euro.
