ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) computer technology

The American computer services group EDS - ELECTRONIC DATA SERVICES is to buy its German rival SYSTEMATICS (635 million euro turnover in 2000) for $570 million. The acquisition will in the main be paid in cash ($430 million) and for the remainder through shares EDS will issue for the operation.
