ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) shipbuilding

Japan's IHI - ISHIKAWAJIMA-HARIMA HEAVY INDUSTRIES and KHI - KAWASAKI HEACY INDUSTRIES is negotiating the merger of their respective shipbuilding businesses within a joint venture to see the light of day in October 2002 with an annual turnover of 210 bn yen.
