ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) tyres

France's MICHELIN is to put up $200 million to create a new joint-venture with China's foremost tyre manufacturer STRC - SHANGHAI TYRE AND RUBBER CORPORATION. The new company will be called SHANGHAI MICHELIN WARRIOR TIRE CO. MICHELIN will hold a 70% stake, the remainder being in the hands of its partner. It will manufacture "Warrior" brand tyres, for the Chinese market.
