The Norwegian operator TELENOR bought the Belgian-Norwegian group SAIT COMMUNICATIONS (consolidated turnover of around EUR 320 million in the 1999 financial year), specialised in services to satellite telephone users, for NOK 188 million. The acquisition was made from SAIT STENTO, telecommunications group born from the merger of the Belgian SAIT-RADIO HOLLAND and the Norwegian STENTO ASA.
