Mr Söderman opens investigation into freedom of expression of European civil servants

Strasbourg, 06/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Ombudsman, Jacob Söderman, opened an own initiative investigation into the freedom of expression of European Commission personnel. In a letter to Mr Prodi, he asks the Commission to inform him of the measures it has taken or envisaged to take to clarify the right to freedom of expression for its civil servants.
