Brussels, 22/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - On the initiative of the European Commissioner responsible for Justice and Home Affairs (JHA), Antonio Vitorino, the Commission adopted two communications on Wednesday, one entitled "Towards a common asylum procedure and a uniform status, valid throughout the Union, for persons granted asylum", the other relating to a "Community migration policy" (the latter in agreement with the Commissioner responsible for Social Policy, Anna Diamantopoulou).
