22/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission confirmed it had carried out surprise inspections on October 19 and 20 at the premises of certain Italian steel producers and their association Federacciai. The inspections aimed to find evidence of possible collusion between the operators in the round reinforcing rods sector to fix minimum prices and production quotas.
