Philip Morris considers that lawsuit in American courts by European Commission aims to impose on it, in the smuggling of cigarettes, a responsibility it rejects

Brussels, 07/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The initial reaction from Philip Morris to the announcement of legal proceedings initiated by the Commission against it for participation in the smuggling of cigarettes (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.9) was to criticise the decision to bring the case before the American courts.
