EIB grants five loans totalling EUR 397 million for transport projects in Romania

Luxembourg, 07/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank granted a group of loans, totalling EUR 397 million in favour of projects in the transport sector in Romania. It concerns:

  • 245 million for the improvement of the road network: rehabilitation of main transit roads, notably between Cluj Napoca (Transylvania) and Suceava (Moldovia) and the path linking the cities of Simeria and Petrosani (Western Romania);

  • 115 million for Bucharest metro: modernisation of 60 tracks and...
