Hatzidakis rejects Council accusations over claimed EP reluctance to adopt European Commission proposals over maritime safety

Brussels, 07/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Regional Policy and Transport, Kostas Hatzidakis (Greek, EPP) rejected the accusations of the President of the Transport Council, Jean-Claude Gassot, by which Parliament is reluctant to speed-up adoption of three maritime safety proposals put forward by the European Commission.
