Following withdrawal of notification Commission closes investigation into aid to Ford Genk (Belgium)

Brussels, 02/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission closed its investigation on the planned regional aid to the investment of EUR 6.5 million in favour of the Ford factory located in Genk (Belgium) following the withdrawal of the notification. The procedure had been opened last 3 May as the Commission had fears as to the necessity of the aid for the location of the project that consisted of converting the factory for the production of the new "Ford Transit" model in the Genk...
