ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

The Italian electricity producer ENEL acquired, via its renewable energy subsidiary ERGA, the American group CHI ENERGY for USD 170 million. Largest independent producer of alternative energy in the countries, CHI ENERGY has a turnover of USD 49 million in 1999 and manages a network of 79 units in the United States and Canada.
