Brussels / Geneva, 29/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The World Trade Organisation has confirmed on appeal the unlawful nature of the US anti-Dumping Act of 1916, first condemned in March by a panel set up at the request of the European Union and Japan (see EUROPE of 3 and 4 April, p.13). The European Commission welcomes in a press release "this clear-cut condemnation of this US law, which has been invoked several times against EU companies, and is still used against them".
