American GILLETTE (consumer goods) has sold its stationery business (Waterman, Parker and Paper Mate pens) to NEWELL RUBBERMAID (turnover $6.4 billion in 1999) for an undisclosed amount. This branch made a turnover of $743 million in 1999.
