Brussels, 29/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - At the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement signing ceremony at Arusha, European Commission President Romano Prodi welcomed the role played in this long and difficult process by the former South African President Nelson Mandela, as well as by the other leaders of the region, and mainly by former Tanzanian President, Mwalomu Nyerere.
