Brussels, 29/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the European Commission adopted several competition decisions. It authorised, with conditions, Siemens to take over Mannesmann subsidiaries, Dematic, VDO and Sachs, in the framework of the joint take-over of the Atecs holding of Mannesmann by Siemens and Bosch; opened an in-depth investigation into the take-over of Rexroth by Bosch; authorised the creation of a joint venture between Dieh in Germany and sextant in France (subsidiary of Thomson-CSF) in the electronics aimed at aviation sector; authorised, in the framework of the Ceca treaty, the Italian Riva to acquire the Societe des Aciers d'armature pour beton (SAM) in France; authorised Menzies Transport Services Ltd (GB) to acquire the joint control of Lufthansa Ground Service (GB) with Glob Ground, in the stop-over assistance sector; authorised the British Airtours to acquire Frasch Touristik GmbH (FTI).
