Calls in favour of anticipated circulation of small denomination Euro notes increase in trade sector

Brussels, 29/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - EuroCommerce has just called on the Ecofin Council, in the shadow of the informal meeting that the EU Finance Ministers will hold in Versailles next 9 September, to adopt a pragmatic approach with regard to the anticipated supply of the Euro on January 1st 2002. Concretely, EuroCommerce:

  • Calls on Ecofin Council to support a proposal by the Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders aiming for small Euro denominations to be made available to consumers...
