Commission examines case of venture-capital fund in Northern Ireland

Brussels, 28/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has initiated a formal examination procedure on State aid concerning Viridian Growth Fund, a new venture-capital fund operating in Northern Ireland. In September 1999, the British authorities had notified a new system of aid linked to the creation and operations of the Viridian Fund for which additional information was provided in January, March and June 2000.
