28/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - During the European Parliament debate on the annual report by the European Ombudsman (see EUROPE of 24 July, p.11), Mr Söderman raised the need to develop with the ombudsmen from the accession countries (and not as we mistaken indicated, with the United States) similar cooperation with that already started with EU Member States ombudsmen.
