European regions want to participate in debate on governance in Europe - Message from Romano Prodi

Brussels, 10/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European regions want to be heard in the debate on governance in Europe. Gathered at the end of June, in Lisbon, by the Conference of the Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), a hundred odd representatives from regions and regional organisations welcomed the European Commission initiative to present, in 2001, a White Paper on Governance in Europe, and called for them "to be heard and associated with the drafting of the White Paper and fully take part...
