Commissioner Lamy initials first mutual recognition agreements for manufactured goods with candidate countries (Hungary, Czech Republic, Latvia)

Brussels, 10/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy initialled on Monday, in Brussels, with the representatives of Hungary, the Czech Republic and Latvia, the first three agreements that the EU has concluded with candidate countries in the field of mutual recognition of manufactured goods. Similar talks are in progress with Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Slovakia.
